What I discovered about people from Tel Aviv and Israel

I had the feeling that people here are much more open. When I met friends of friends, friends of my host family, they gave me a hug. Germans are used to shake hands, which creates a distance.

What I found significant was the attitude of Israeli people towards their country. It was very different.

Most Isreali Jews tend to be very proud of their country and don’t hesitate to show that. That sometimes was a bit disconcerting for me, because as a German, I’m not used to celebrate my nationality like that- for historical reason. But I can in some way understand that behavior.
