Thursday, 30th of March

After having breakfast at the hotel, we went to see the Alexanderplatz. Most of the Tel Avivis wanted to go shopping because Berlin is cheaper then Tel Aviv and it has different shops.

In the afternoon we went to the exhibition “7xjung – Your trainig ground for solidarity and respect”: 7xjung offers extraordinary approaches for dealing with the past times of National Socialism, as well as with the present-day issues of identity, exclusion and civil courage. Here we attended a varied workshop. The workshop was all about solidarity, history, discrimination and tolerance. We read stories about refugees, teenagers that lived during the holocaust and queer people. The good thing was that we had to get active and that we were asked to choose a thing or a story that appealed to us.

We then went to the “Mall of Berlin” at the Potsdamer Platz, which I believed to be very ecxiting fot the Tel Avivis since it is a hughe shopping centre. We split up into groups and were free to choose a meal at the Mall.

After that we went back to the hotel and spend our evening all together in one room. I felt very happy when I saw how easy it was to spend time with people that we only first met one day ago.
